BE INSPIRED! BE VERY INSPIRED!! - Rice & Shine
Tuesday 9th March 2004, saw well over 200 students, staff and external guests enjoy Sushi, Sake
and Simon at The Octagon Centre, University of Sheffield.
Simon Woodroffe, founder of YO! Sushi told his story and encouraged those with an idea and a passion to
do the research, to find out how to take their idea forwards. He told them that they would need to 'step
out of their comfort zone' and believe in themselves. Simon's presentation was preceded by one from
Dean Wallis of NESTA who set the agenda by outlining the venture support available from NESTA, with
examples of successes to date.
The event was sponsored by the Cambridge-MIT Institute and Gstart, Yorkshire Universities and 17
supporting organisations took stands.
